What
This OpusLABS blog is my journal at the intersection of design, technology, learning, and life. It’s a space to explore how tools shape us, how new technology changes the way we live, and how we can build ideas, products, and systems with more care.
Why
I write to learn and share, to follow curiosity until it becomes clarity, and to spark conversation. This publication is both a documentation of my own exploration and an open invitation to others who care about making technology and culture feel more human. I was inspired to document by writers like Paul Graham, the gonzo voice of Hunter S. Thompson, and the informative tone of tech journalists.
Core Values
At the center of everything I do is empathy.
Empathy is the lens I use to look at design and technology.
It guides how I research, experiment, and share.
It helps me decide what is worth creating.
For me, empathy means respecting human complexity, designing for clarity, and making sure that insight and progress actually translate into everyday life.
What I’m Building
Through OpusLABS, I’m developing projects that bring more feeling into our relationship with technology. My main focus is Opus, a wearable device that turns digital emotions into haptic feedback, letting people physically sense the emotional tone of their digital lives. I also explore projects such as PromptStudio (a platform for building and testing prompts), SnapSpend (an AI-driven personal finance experiment), and other tools that push the boundaries of interaction design. Projects range from research writing like Entangled Minds to joint creative work in product and brand design. These projects let me test ideas, build prototypes, and explore the edges of how AI and design meet in everyday life.
About Me
I’m a designer, researcher, and technologist with a background in Industrial Design from the University of Houston. My path has always been guided by curiosity since I could remember; how people use technology, how design shapes those experiences, and how both can become more meaningful. Over time, that curiosity has grown into work at the crossroads of AI, haptics, and posthumanist philosophy. My practice mixes hands-on prototyping with writing and reflection, aiming to better understand the space where technology meets human experience.
