Pressing Publish: The Courage to Share
I used to write and never publish. Overthinking. Refining. Abandoning. In 2025, I’m changing that. Here’s why I’m pressing publish.
I used to write and never publish.
Overthinking. Refining. Abandoning.
In 2025, I’m changing that. Here’s why I’m pressing publish, despite the hesitation.
I think about releasing my writing and ideas again.
In the past, I hesitated. Wrote, refined, abandoned. Few things made it out, most didn’t. The impulse to keep things private always won. The weight of unfinished thoughts, the fear of scrutiny, and the perfectionist’s tendency to over-edit often kept me from pressing ‘publish.’
Yet, I return to the idea of sharing.
I admire those who put their thoughts out there. Not just the polished, finished work, but the raw, ongoing process. The thinking aloud. Building in public. There’s something liberating about allowing ideas to unfold in real-time, about creating a space where exploration, learning, and growth are made visible.
So, in 2025, I’ll be writing here. I’ve been thinking, working, and exploring…there’s much to share: Design, Technology, Interaction, Philosophy, the Human Experience. Ideas that have taken shape, questions that linger, and perspectives that continue to evolve. Some thoughts are refined, others still in flux. But holding them back serves no purpose. It’s time to step forward, put the work out there, and own the process. This space is where that begins.
I’ll be writing regularly here. If you’ve struggled with sharing your work or any other comments, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
